I am guilty for turning to my friends or family to help me in tough times. It’s just part of who we all are but, I am learning that I need to turn to God first and foremost. – The Very Wise, Elizabeth Kimbrell
But First, Pray
I love to see how the Study Kits that I spend millions of hours a month, producing, actually DO effect the people using them. It’s funny because I have always considered the final outcomes COMPLETELY constructed by God, because I swear to you, each month, as they leave my possession, I say desperate prayers that they will make sense and be well received. Up through now, my prayers have been answered and people have told me just how connected they felt to each one. I am humbled by My Amazing God.
Here is a snip-it of the first section of the study that was completed by my friend who is a amazing woman of God, Elizabeth Kimbrell. I am grateful for this lady. She has been a HUGE help to me theses last few months and I hope she understands just how much that has made a difference in my life! She covered the section that was called, “But First, Pray.” It’s one of my favorite sayings and I am sure, one that speaks VOLUMES to you as it does me.
Having an awful day? Ready to throw in the towel? BUT FIRST, PRAY
Get an overdue bill in the mail you KNOW you can’t pay? Instead of immediately taking on 30 extra shifts at work, stop. BUT FIRST, PRAY.
This is something that I have a hard time with. I often find myself jumping ahead and just doing whatever it is, when I really should be waiting for God and praying! What about you?
Thank you Elizabeth for letting me share your study time with others!
I’d love to hear from you too! Have you done this study? Tell me what hit you the most about this day!
If not, what do you have to STOP AND PRAY FIRST about?
