Hello sweet readers!
Today we have a our special guest for you! Ashley, from over at A Pile Of Ashes, is one of my personal inspirations for bible journaling. Her entries are always right up my alley. Bright, bold and super creative. She is a stay-at-home mama with her hands full. Strangely enough, she used to live super close to me and right about the time I was “introduced” to her (through Instagram), her husband was called to Kentucky and she had t move 🙁 I am blessed for her continued friendship and support even from further away. Without further ado …..

Ever wonder why God doesn’t let you meet people sooner in life? I just have to understand that HIS timing is perfect and I won’t ever understand a few things.
Enter my friend Becky.
I don’t understand why we couldn’t have met sooner! We were Bible journalers who lived 20 mins away from each other but didn’t meet until after I had moved 10 hours away!? We could have had so much fun journaling together.
Becky sent me her October kit to share with you guys and can I just tell you there are some of the cutest embellishments, diets, tabs, and prints in this kit, I LOVE IT! So so fall!
Day 1 spoke to my heart! I stress over everything seriously it’s awful!
Using the S.O.A.P. method, I dived into verse John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27
What really stood out to me was that Jesus offers something better than the world… but since we think with our earthly minds, it will take effort on our part to realize what He gives is different and BETTER!
When I flipped to the page with John 14:27 on it, it had already been journaled TWICE so what’s a girl to do??? Find another scripture that I could journal similar to this passage. I picked Colossians 3:15 and since that page already had something on it too (do you see a pattern here?) I went to the next page, thankfully it had tons of room to journal!
I started out with some paint. I love this color of blue!
Up at the top of the page I wrote John 14:27 (now I’m seeing I didn’t write the verse so I’m going to go back and put that in!) so I would remember what the Lord was speaking to me in John 14:27 as well as here.
I also realized that in order to accept the peace that HE offers, I had to have faith. Faith can be a hard thing to have y’all! I mean I don’t doubt that HE can do anything, I just don’t see why HE might want to do something in me or through me or to me, if that makes sense?! But HE uses me, not for me, but for HIS GLORY!
I need to be encouraging others to accept the peace HE offers.
When I have faith my cup always overflows. He is my portion!
And we need to remind others to have faith, help them walk through their doubt straight to the blessings. It’s a part of our calling as Christian, to walk with faith and help others do the same!
I love this little truck full of pumpkins, don’t you?!
I’m now also realizing that I didn’t DATE this entry! Y’all always always always date your entry! I didn’t start dating my pages until this year and I still forget! Sometimes I can remember but sometimes I can’t.
Thank you so much Becky for sending me this October kit!
It is such a blessing and these goodies are so full of fall goodness! I just LOVE it!
