Change Your Start

Good Morning!!!!

Everyone hates Monday’s because they mean it’s time to get back to work. Whether your work is in an office, at your home or teaching your children, Monday’s can be rough days. What if we looked at the start of our week differently? What if we don’t go by the world’s calendar and went by our own?  Let’s pretend yesterday was the start of the week. Sunday is the say of rest, recouping, of new beginnings. Then maybe we wouldn’t be so rushed at the start of our week. Maybe the week’s tasks wouldn’t overwhelm us. Whether you go to church or you just stay home, Sunday’s are a universal day of rest. Wouldn’t it make more sense to prepare yourself for the week on a day of rest than on a crazy, responsibility-filled Monday? What if we try to focus on God at the beginning of our week like He intended?

Whatever day you decide to start your week on, remember that God was there yesterday and He will be there today too. God is not going to leave you to fend for yourselves. He isn’t going to let you be overlooked or forgotten. The1cbe5f83df4d9675288396055c6c7202 Good or the bad, God will be with you today, just as he was yesterday. From the time you open your eyes at the sound of your alarm, to the time you fall asleep tonight (and even while you are sleeping!) God will be right there with you. You WILL make it through another day, just like you did yesterday 🙂

I always start my week off with a cup of coffee, and I sit in my little nook with my prayer book. I read the prayers I feel are suited for the week and some that catch my attention. It always helps sooth the chaos of a Monday.

  3. Deanna Snelson says:

I thank Jesus everyday for waking up my sweet family. I drink my coffee and spend time with God.

I love the idea that you are to rest and prepare for your week spiritually and physically on Sunday! Easing into Monday is smart!

  5. Holly says:

I try to start my day with prayer before I even get out of bed. It somewhat keeps me from having a come apart on my kids when they start fighting at 7 am. Ha! For real, just taking that few minutes can help so much!

  6. Yvonne Burris says:

I start each day as I get out of bed with Thanking Jesus for the day and asking him to guide me to do His will for that day. Then I follow that up with Jesus, Tea + Me!
