Galatians 6:3 says that you shouldn’t be a panjandrum because if you are then you are just fooling yourself! I like verses like this. That show us we aren’t as important as we think we are. Even the most humble of us has moments where we are only focused on what we think or feel. Especially if we are at work or at church or anywhere else there are groups of people that we feel we care “in charge of” or “have seniority over.” I love verses like this because they are so straight and to the point. There is no excuse for this, no wiggle room. You are NOT better than anyone else. You are the same as the sinner next door to you. Once you accept that as a fact and live as if your life isn’t the most important thing, you will be able to experience joy and success in your missions.
Think about ways that you act like a panjandrum. Do you act superior to others in certin situations? Whether you actually are their boss or not, you have no reason to treat them poorly. Figure out where you are allowing this idea to creep in and get rid of it. FAST!
